Release Date: 1985 | Tracklist

Review Summary: One of the quintessential and quite unknown Traditional Heavy Metal Albums

Railway was one of those multiple bands that tryied to emulate Accept in the 80s, but in this case, we got some special material on our hands.
Railway started with a demo in 1981, appeared in a compilation and released an album before this one, quite enough way to develop themselves.
1985 comes, and they release one of the most solid and underrated albums of Trady Heavy Metal of the 80s.
Here you listen an commercial kind of Heavy Metal, the one you could use in 80s cartoons intros.
We start with the locomotive driven, lick it stick it, very powerful and catchy, with accesible choruses and verses.
Go Down it's a fast paced number, with crazy solos and riffs, not as memorable as the next track.
The first Heavyweight of the release D.O.A, what a track, highway heavy metal at it's finest, with the necessary mix of radio friendly elements in there, great chorus and catchy riff.
Dreamin and lady life are fast tempos, but with enough raw power to be in the headbanging territory
The second heavywight comes along, Fight With the Killer, one of those unknown and powerful metal anthems. the chorus sings Fight With the Killer loud, by Walter Wicha pipes. kind of short song but packed th eright way.
All night long it's kind of a rock n rollish number.
Dying in the dust it's the third heavyweight in the album. Anthemish with gang chorus, would sound great in a packed arena, but railway never did it quite big, in fact, they are pretty underrated. I Wanna Run and Im a Looser are less than memorable, and the closer has to be the eightiest song in the albu, with a chorus that screams 1985 than anything else.
This album is the best by railway and one of the best that 80s germany scene could give to Trad Heavy Metal.
