It sounds like it was recorded in someone's closet, which it probably was, but its a pretty solid EP. The "Why Me?" on this record is pretty different from the version that ended up on Soulless Machine, but "Fingernail" and "Wereleopards" are thick and thrashy. "Secret Face" is also a great cover of Death.
