3.7 great | Voivod STAFF | December 31st 14 | The self titled Spidergawd album will be hands down one of the slow burners of this year with respect to retro boogie/hard rock. Their singer is excellent (like really excellent), their song writing is effective whether it's short lived hard rock dynamites (the album's first two cuts) or progressive rock elegies ("Empty Rooms") and there's this fuzz (on the brink of noise rock) which gives another degree of freedom to the album. The above being said, the arrangements could be tighter, but hey guess what; band has been signed by Nuclear Blast Records (really no wonder about that.-) and the release of the sophomore album II has been slated for January 15 2015.

4.5 superb | SpaceZeppelin | December 24th 14 | This album offers a lot of diversity. Songs like "Into Tomorrow" offer a more poppy vibe, whereas
the 14 minute jam, "Empty Rooms," offers a more jazzy/progressive feel. I found the other songs on
the album bridge the gap between these two songs. Overall, one of my favorite albums of the year
and definitely something I would recommend to any rock fan.
