Well, this is my first review, and although I've been a lurker on this site for some time, I only created an account today so I could enter info about this band into the database.
Being someone who likes all kinds of metal from black, to death, to grind, to (some) metalcore and even hair, I'm not really stuck to one genre. I just like if things are interesting, and I guess a band that crosses a few genres while having some killer riffs on their album was bound to interest me.
There are many sections throughout the songs on this album that one might characterize as blackened-death-thrash, and parts that are very reminiscent of latter-day Immortal, which I also love. But the musicianship and the dueling leads that pervade some of the music also evoke some things as far back as Thin Lizzy and more recently, some of the earlier albums from Baroness.
I was able to score a physical copy of this album in CD form at a recent show, but it's also available for listening and purchase at Bandcamp, and I highly recommend it. I only give it a 4.5 to leave some headroom as I've only just started reviewing and rating things here.
