On Hwal, Keda combines modern electronics with traditional acoustics--specifically the geomungo (a traditional Korean string instrument). They have created an electroacoustic album with dark ambient undertones that sounds both modern and primeval. At times it feels as if the geomungo is being plucked beside an ancient campfire, at other times it sounds like part of the electronics. The two sounds are melded together and create a musical soundscape that is both modern and mystical.
