t of pitchshifted snares (I assume snares, anyway) with a virtually unintelligible vocal (indeed, they do seem to crop up on several songs throughr three riffs over three or four minutes, sometimes even existing on an even sonic plain throughout, really produces any individual track that's stunning for its inherent musicality rather than a particular feature or sound effect.

So it's an atmospheric and diverse listen, and indeed enjoyable. But this isn't for you if you thought Kid A was "difficult"...
