The Tourists self titled album is a hard rocking album that is true to their style. The mongolian band has a mix of 90s influenced hair metal and a mix of guns n roses, aerosmith era. The album consists of 10 songs. The 10 songs follow a similar song progression (verse, chorus, solo, chorus), but in this albums case it does it self justice. They didn't over complicate songs, or over simplified songs.
Here's my review of the album song by song.

1. Es Ka Pe
This song starts of the album in great style. Opening with drums and ending with drums. Guitar riffs in this song is absolute brilliance, the riff that goes in the verse is one of the albums best. This songs reminds you of motley crue because it has a catchy chorus. The catchy chorus is sang very well by the lead singer Yoko. She pulls of the last ranchy scream in good style. As for the solo, its one of the best solos in the album, it just suits the song very well.

4/5

2. 2-5

2-5 is a song about their practice place. Musically this song has alot of parts, changing tempos in between the chorus and the verse. The song has a wierd chorus for a hard rock song, but it is also catchy. The solo is very well implemented, but the best part of this song is the bass. Jazz influenced bass is in the background as the guitars stick to the roots of hard rock.

3.5/5

3. Ballad Of Roses

This is the only ballad in the album (as you can see in the name). It sounds similar to don't cry, in terms of how the song is structured. Yoko's vocals are overly impressing in this song, as she goes from singing softly to screaming. You can hear from her voice how sad this song is. The last chorus of the song when yoko screams is absolute genius.

4.5/5

4. Medremj

This is a straight up hard rock song. Beautiful riff to start the song off, and a kick ass chorus that goes on in the song. The song ends with a guitar solo that sounds Mongolian. Overall its a good song to include in the album.

3.5/5

5. Manand Assan Gerel

Now we are halfway through the album. I think this song is just a filler song, it has a cool intro and a cool chorus but it just doesn't seem like they enjoyed makin this song. They seemed like they rushed through the song. They play this song a lot live and they sound much better, maybe it was just one of those songs tht shouldnt have been recorded.

2.5/5

6. Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar is the first official single from the album. It starts of with great guitar and the bass kicks in right on time. It is a catchy song with no real catchy chorus. The guitar solo in this song is excellent, one of the best solos in the album. Yokos voice is excellent as she screams out ulaan baatar in the chorus. The octave that she reaches in this song and the way she sings it is pure genius.

4.5/5

7. Hamaague (WDC)

This song is the only song in the album that sounds like 70s 80s rock. Guitar riffs are similar to what guns n roses or aerosmith would do. This song has a catchy chorus along with many solos. The solos in this song arent all great except for the 3rd and final solo. There are great vocal octaves that Yoko reaches in this song, especially in the end of the last chorus (goosebumps). But apart from all that it is an average song that really has nothing new.

3/5

8. HYXT

This is a song that is a little bit different from their style. It seems
More influenced from the kooks. It has a catchy guitar riff, slow and gentle riff that repeats itself the whole song. If it was a bad riff it would have been a bad song, but the thing that makes the song good is the riff. The riff is so catchy and moody you just cannot hate it. The chorus in this song is pop influenced but it fits. Solos are one of the best in this song, the ending solo and the first solo equal eachother out in talent. It fits the song great. Yokos vocals are a little bit different as she sings lower but she adapts to it and sounds good.

4.5/5

9. Temper

This song has a slash influenced riff that repeats throughout the whole song. Most songs are known for how good the chorus is, that is the main problem for this song. The chorus is sang in a lower tone and just doesnt fit the song at all. But on the other hand, the verse is what saves the song. Yokos vocals come in and its only her as she sings in 3 verses. Catchy verse and an unexpected ending. Yoko screams 3 times in a row at the end of the song to top of this song, to me screaming in this doesnt quite fit, but it is one of the highlights of the song. The solo as well is a great solo, one that makes the song much better.

3.5/5

10. Tsum

Now were here at the end of the album. This song tops of everything about this band. The first song started of with drums, the album finishes with a song starting with drums. Berkhee starts the song off with great drums as you get hyped for things to come. The guitar riff is simple but hard. Yoko experiments with her voice in this, as she changes from singing low to high. The guitar solo is a short one but fits the song and it has a catchy chorus. The ending of the song is sang amazingly by Yoko as she screams the end of the song. She reaches great vocal octaves and tops off this album.

4/5

I'm gonna try my damnedest to fix.. whatever's happening here.

Edit: Okay. The band name's still a bit messed up, but at least there's album art.
