Sometimes all you want is some none-too-complicated R&B; a lovely voice and little else. That's exactly what Ella Mai provides on Time. Although practically nothing about this EP is original in any way, the goods are definitely provided by Mai, who does an excellent job as a vocalist throughout the EP. The production is decent enough, but nothing stands out that much. That can be seen as a virtue for Mai, as nothing really distracts from her at all. It's pretty nice, and if you want some good contemporary R&B, you can't really go wrong here.
