pleasant sounding idm revivalism with fantastic production, but overall the album doesnt come across as very memorable. that being said this album is gorgeous and worth checking out for some of the very notable tracks, but joseph would've done better by fleshing out these tracks instead of churning out 3-4min long ideas that all play out rather predictably.

System is a work composed entirely on Datach'i's modular synthesizer, much like this year's earlier Venetian Snares effort Traditional Synthesizer Music. YouTube videos of Datach'i playing each song accompany the record.
