3.5 great | manosg EMERITUS | May 4th 17 | Very encouraging debut by the Athenian power metal act. Their music is influenced greatly by the golden era of power metal (mid-'90s) and more specifically by the German scene and bands like Blind Guardian, Heaven's Gate and Iron Savior. There is also a strong epic flavor courtesy of Manowar and a few classic metal elements reminiscent of Judas Priest while, overall, there is a strong sense of melody. Lastly, the production needs to be more powerful (not over-polished though) and the album does feel a bit tiresome towards the end.
