3.7 great | manosg EMERITUS | May 13th 17 | Very well-composed electric acid/psychedelic folk. There is an emphasis on creating a dreamy and hypnotic atmosphere with a slightly loose instrumentation. The band draws influences from classic acts such as Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span and Donovan among others but these guys (and girls) have developed their own sound. The album features some variety by utilizing medieval-type melodies such as on "Lorelei" or different instruments and a bacchanalian atmosphere like on the trippy "Let No Man Steal Your Thyme". Overall, a very interesting slab of modern (?) folk.
