A highly interesting and refreshing case of a band which plays pirate-themed metal but is not 100% influenced by Running Wild. Flying Dutchman's sound is very much influenced by Iron Maiden with some hints of Grave Digger and even punk on "Chase The Sun". Nevertheless, album highlight "Flying Dutchman - In The Night Of The Living Dead" bears the seal of Running Wild more than every track on the EP which of course isn't a bad thing. These guys (and girl on vocals) seem to be on the right path and with much effort and sacrifices they may be able to release a solid heavy metal LP in the future.
