Review Summary: Odd Project’s Lovers Fighters Sinners Saints is a full on nuclear assault of metal mayhem from beginning to end…except for like two songs that aren’t; perfect for getting your lift on at the gym or cruising for babes near your local high school.

Basically I dig two types of music, workout jams and chillin tunes. Workout jams usually consist of some type of catchy, semi-hardcore, screamo music like Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, or Bullet for my Valentine; you know, something I can really get my ROID ON to. Chillin tunes I usually save for post hardcore workouts; like when I’m kicking it with my bros watching the latest episode of UFC or making out with my perf 10 girlfriend while drinking a protein shake. I’m pretty deep when it comes to my chill tunes; I usually like to listen to underground independent sh*t, like the Shins off of my Garden State soundtrack, or the Back Street Boys before they sold out. But whatever, right now I don’t want to talk about my musical diversity, right now I want to tell you about the next big time bomb waiting to explode onto the music scene. A.K.A Odd Project!!!

As crazy as it may sound, I stumbled across this diamond in the rough of an album in the Zia Record Exchange bargain bin, and after I popped the CD into my Alpine car stereo system, picking up chicks in my 98’ Eclipse has never been easier (don’t tell my girlfriend). Anyway, like I said earlier I like two types of music, workout jams and chillin tunes; so let me tell you something right now, Odd Project’s CD Lovers Fighters Sinners Saints has yet to leave my 30 second no skip while pumping iron at my local L.A. fitness since purchase! Basically this CD encompasses everything that is and ever will be bad ass workout metal, and getting huge has never been so much fun!

If I had to describe Odd Project’s latest album in a nut shell it would be Choeed and Cambria meets A7X (Waking the Fallen) meets Mel Gibson in Braveheart. When it comes to vocals, the lead singer of Odd Project sounds very much like Claudio Sanchez from C&C, except way less gay. What is also sweet about the vocals on this album is that they are extremely versatile. The lead and backup singers of Odd Project range in tones from step on my balls squeaky, to smooth singing, to a give me one more rep power scream; you really don’t know what’s coming next! The instrumentals on this album are equally impressive, complete with blistering guitar solos, and hardcore power chords perfect for getting you through that last set of squat thrusts. And don’t think for a second that Odd Project forgot your mid workout cool down/water break; an acoustic interlude shows up a little more than half way through the album just in time to let you catch your breath and check out your abs in the free weights mirror. Don’t worry though, after the interlude the album picks right back up with perhaps my fav track on the album “Heavy Hands” which is one of those Halloween sounding songs like old CKY, the song Revelations by Audioslave or A7X’s City of Evil.

If you’re like me and into working out, hot chicks, and being the first to know about the next big thing, then take my advice and buy this album. If you do you will defiantly get bigger, score more chicks, and be the first to know about the next big thing. Odd Project’s album Lovers Fighters Sinners Saints will not fail to impress if you like the genre and don’t hate on being awesome.

review is ok, the entire intro where you give an explanation as to what you listen to most of the time is a bit unnecessary, try to just stick to the album, but not bad for a first reviewer. welcome

this is actually a very good album/band. though its not really hardcore... i'd say its more screamo than anything, but there are some hardcore influences. but i won't be a genre nazi. welcome! and thanks for reviewing an excellent band that very few people have heard of! =]

p.s. silver screen lovers rules.

The summary is very good. Catchy and hooked me to read the rest of the review.

particularly this part:

"Odd Project’s Lovers Fighters Sinners Saints is a full on nuclear assault of metal mayhem from beginning to end…except for like two songs that aren’t"
