21 years after their last full-length album, Stereo Nova return with new material that would feel blatantly mainstream, if it weren't for its dark and quiet minimalism throughout. If Ουρανός were to be linked with an homologous release, that would be Ulver's Lyckantropen Themes, though Stereo Nova anno 2018 are not as elaborate and arcane as their Norwegian peers(?). For those aware of the project's '90s heyday, don't expect a rehash of the warmly naive and highly original, energetic electro-crossover; Through their multiple projects within the Greek arts scene, Stereo Nova have aged enough, so as to comfort their storytelling in silence, discreteness and subtlety.
