Review Summary: Nice little obscure metal album from India.
I heard this album again today after a long time and was pleasantly reminded of my friend who was the guitar player in this band. This album definitely was the first album of its kind coming from India. The music is pretty derivative of melodic death metal bands of the day though the guitars are quite catchy and memorable on their own. The vocals are pretty standard lacking punch and the annunciation could have been better. There is not much variation in tempo of the songs which vary from very fast to fast to moderate and then fast again. The production is pretty basic and crusty.
The band juggled their college studies with the production of this album and clearly did not have a any significant budget to record this but still kudos to them for their work on the album. Listeners needing a quick fix of catchy synths and guitars might find this quite satisfying. The album has 2 instrumental tracks and 2 bonus tracks as well.
The album is called ' From the Oblivion' but unfortunately the band remained there and are inactive now. My guitarist friend from this band is now working for a multi-national company and probably reminiscing of what might have been.
