4.0 excellent | Jack J. Walker | September 6th 18 | Maybe a high rating, but this feels like such a cakewalk of all the melodies and themes from the best of 2000s pop punk. On paper that should be really forgettable but I've found myself enjoying it quite a bit. Above average lyrics for the genre as well in my opinion, with actually clever word play at times and hart hitting personal feelings at others. Vocalists are pretty damn solid as well, actually. The main issues they seem to face deal not setting themselves apart decisively enough, but the authenticity of it all brings it home for me.
