Release Date: 1999 | Tracklist

As with most review a little history and a bit of current events is a must.
This was their first release(demo) and contained a song that was remade many times but the one on this album has the best intro out of all of them.
In current events the lead singer was recently arrested under the suspicion of drug use and the remaining memebers are doing side projects.

Psycho le Cemu is:
Daishi-Vocals
Aya(yes its a guy)-Guitar, Dance
Lida-Guitar
Yura-sama-Drums, Vocals, Dance
SEEK-Bass

Now wothout further adou i bring you... SELF ANALYSIS

1)Legend Of Sword
Just a short intro. starts out with wind and goes into a spoken story part.

2)sei~excalibur~ken
This has the best intro out of all versions of this song. Starts out with a voice and goes into a clean riff before the lightly distorted guitars cut in. one does a solo style riff while one rips out the rythem before Daishis vocals kick in. In between each verse lida does a little solo before daishi comes back. no doubt this kids got talent. there is also and acoustic passage before a spoken part by daishi and the guitars kicks back in before lida rips out yet another solo. Good bass, guitars, drums and voice. Catchy solos, intro and chorus make this a solid song. the only gripe i have with this song is the insturments are quieter than in the other versions.

3)Broker
Hmmm how to describe this? Its quite a change. Its a Para-Para dance song so its def a change. This is where Yura-sama and Aya would shine with there perfectly coreographes Para-Para routines. Its light happy and catchy with daishi singing along rounding the song out.

4) TRAP ZONE-venom no okite-
Well the para-para set a happy mood which is complemented with this slightly poppy but heavy song. starts out sounding a bit evil before the fast yet slightly dark guitars kick in. Daishi shines alot in this song. Really uses his throat here. he uses both soft and harsh singing as the guitar constantly change from end to end on the fretbords. No solos here but still a very good song. The music really fits the name of the song well.

5)Undead Man
Starts out with a punky Bass solo before the guitars follow suit before light singing in the backround is heard as non distorted rythem is heard before Daishi start singing regular. Bass in extremely prevalent in this song. it can be heard clearly throughout it all. The guitars use effects quite abit in this song. Daishi shows what he can do in this song again. all smooth cleans. And yay a solo. A solo thats suits the song perfectly as it leads into a mini solo by SEEK. SEEK did an awesome job in this song.

This was a very good album and i am having trouble tracking down the original cause not only is it japanese its there long out of print demo. Very solid Debut. Too bad because of the Daishi thing they stopped even shipping there cds and the dvd of there seconed US tour might never be released. Still check out as much as you can.

4 out of 5

Psycho le Cemu are an impressive band, no doubt. Doppelganger is my favorite release by them though. Good review.
