For the most people here 'Antillectual' will be a quite unknown band. These three guys from Holland play political punk, if you are into bands like Strike Anywhere, Propagandhi and Rise Against you might like the band. After releasing some demotapes they decided to put out their first full lenght through 'Angry Youth Records', a small dutch label. In my opinion this album is one of the best Dutch releases ever.

The album opens with the song 'No Human Is Illegal' the lyrics are about borders and about how inhuman they are. It's a quite good song, but not the best of the album. What I like the most about this song (and the whole album in general) is that the lyrics are very personal, they really have convinced me of their opinion. Something that most political punk bands these days don't do.
The second song on the album is 'Raisedfist***you!' Antillectual are a gay-positive band and this song goes about how stupid homophobia is "Why Sould There Be Boundaries To Love?". It's a great song, in my opinion one of the best songs of this album. 'Another Guide (To Comprehensive Capitalism)' is the third song on this album, it's a really fast and quite short song. It reminds me a lot of Propagandhi. That says enough i think :)
'Because We Can (And We Should)' is a bit slower song but still very good. 'Bad Company' is Antillectual's best song in my opinion, it's really fast and I really like the lyrics of the song, "Making money is taking money from those who need it even more". After that comes another great song "Yes, I Truly Am Naive". Short and fast, just what punkrock should be. Dreaming of a world that probably will never come, but don't stop fighting 'cause change is possible sometimes. That's what the band tries to say with this song.
I don't like the seventh song ('Hero') that much, although it's quite ok it's one of the weakest songs on this album. 'Originator' is also not really my favorite song, it's quite good but I just don't like it that much as I like the outher songs from this album.
'Sound Silence' is a really great song, fast and powerful. It gives me a lot of energy and I really like it. The last song from this album is called 'No Government Needed', another great song about the Dutch government and about the fact that they don't listen to what the people have to say.

Another great thing about this album is that it comes with a very nice Digipack, after the lyrics from every song you can read the explanations on the songs, wich is really cool I think.

If you are interested check their site and download some songs.
