Review Summary: Live Moment in a hard time - Alen Brentini live on Trsat Castle 2020
In these hard, troubled times, you expect anything but a "live album". But Alen Brentini has given us this "magic moment", with a "live album", recorded on the beautiful fortress Trsat above Rijeka, this was recorded in the summer under the strictest hygienic guidelines! A piece of live feeling for our auditory canals that give us a little hope and let us dream of the times when we could enjoy live music! The opening with the following song "Bad Blood" is perfectly chosen and you expect with excitement for what comes, you almost feel like in a thriller transferred or with the magical place Trsat you could also think it is the soundtrack to a "Hollywood Movie" With power begins this live moment with "Bad Blood" now everyone should be awake. The album includes a total of 10 varied titles from various branches of the rock and metal league, partly combined with jazzy elements. Trombone and rock is not possible? Here the opposite is proven, delicate trombone sounds that lift you to the sky, combined with melodic guitar sounds underpinned with the beat of the bass ... who is now dreaming will be brought back to earth by the skillful "drum arts" of Dusan Kranjc. From the arrangements the album can play in the upper league. All songs were personally arranged and written by the artist Alen Brentini, a master of guitar art.
You can tell that there are no amateurs on the stage, but musicians with their hearts in it. Already at the first song you want more! If the music alone is not enough for you, you can also beam yourself to "Trsat" with the videos on youtube that were released on the same day - I mean mentally, and it's as if you were there! This is a small "goodie" to the fans who could not be there.
On the CD also comes across the live feeling, albeit limited, the enthusiasm of the people united with the sound of good music. Also a new song was presented which is called "Point of no return". If you hear the song for the first time! One experiences an emotional "half ballad" ...again and again the guitar riffs penetrate directly into the ear! It sounds like an "outcry" and confirms exactly what is happening in this time currently with us or in us! I would describe it with perfect title choice. This song was written by the way about 6 months ago, exactly in this time as the "misery" on this planet began and our world was no longer as before! It could be for many "The Point of no return". Transexpress also an "instrumental song" has made it on the live CD, but who thinks of boredom, no way! This song goes off like a "rocket", a skillful duel between guitar and trombone, even a "lover" of jazz would get his money's worth!!! Thunderous applause is the only response to this track. In a small fan survey about the new album came only positive comments such as "brilliant", "magical", "varied", "emotional" or "masterpiece". This I join! Hats off I say already before the courage that belongs to it 2020 to produce a live album! An album that goes straight to the heart with the ballads and encourages you to join in with the other tracks! No album that lands unheard in the record cabinet! Full score is a "must" for me here.

But to select 3 songs "Point of no return" a new song whose message should be heard, "Transexpress" there comes out the versatility of "Alen Brentini's skill", and "Burning down soul"!!! " Burning down my soul" is certainly a "treat" for the "fans" of heavier metal.
