Review Summary: Hush now, it's time to rest...

Life is a precious thing. One second your'e here enjoying every possible moment, and the next second you could be gone. That's the musical equivalent of Perfuned Saturine Angels' debut album Saccharine Curses Exhaled in the Wind.

The band was formed by our very own, the late and great Brandon Nurick. If you knew anything about his music taste then you know that he loved black metal and he loved skramz and hardcore punk. Well, it just so happens this album is a force of both genres blended together.

What's different about this album than other blackened skramz that I've heard is the sheer, raw emotion that is felt here. Every riff is like a punch to the stomach, the technically sound drums will beat you into submission and the tortured screams from beyond the grave make you feel as if you're suffocating, just looking for that precious breath to come back to you. This album is a 34 minute long emotional roller coaster and the back story that follows it makes it all the more devastating.

Brandon Nurick was an amazing musician, but an even more amazing friend. His pain can be felt throughout the album, and even though he didn't get to perform on it, his presence is heavily felt in every aspect. With that I just want to say rest in peace Brandon. Your friends will never stop missing you, but this piece of art will help us all stay close to you. Until we meet again brother. m/ m/ m/

I haven't been this sad in a while that's for sure. Over a decade of friendship will do that to you I guess. :[

Love u Hawks and love this

Miss Brandon a lot, wish he was here to get the praise he always deserved

A lot of good memories, he helped me out when I was really down and got me a position on a zine along with Koris but my favorite thing to think about is when I went and saw The Rise of Skywalker the whole time I just thought "god I can't wait to shit talk this trash with Spirit" and yeah that's exactly what we did for a good 2-3 hours afterwards lol. Miss his hilarious sassiness that always came out at the most unexpected times and his huge goofy grin he always had. Miss trashing DGD with him on FB, randomly hitting each other up with awful BFMV lyrics and memes. Will always be fondly remembered for sure
