Well... this really surprised me. Prior to this EP, Revaira just struck me as another Architects clone, beating the dead horse, like dozens of other copycats, however on Loss, they've completely shifted in sound. This EP feels more akin to a Vola than an Architects, while also having an (admittedly) overproduced and commercialized sound, similar to likes of Starset. Theres a cosmic djent type of energy here that I would associate with djentleman Andromida, but the vocals elevate this quite a bit. Overall, Loss sounds quite unique all things considered, packed with memorable choruses and rather convincing Vola like vocal performance, while also sporting some Northlane inspired heavy moments when needed.
