This is a strange album. It in no way fits with the rest of the Scanner legacy. Axel Julius resurfaced in 2002 with
another completely new lineup, and a major shift in style. The plus points about this album are that Julius is a
very competent song writer who clearly understands how to craft great tunes. I'm not sure why this came out as a
Scanner album, I suppose they thought they'd sell more records trading on the name. The problem with this is
that it will always be compared to the 1st and 2nd Scanner albums which in my opinion are total classics. That
said I enjoyed this album and Sister Mary is up there with the best Scanner tunes. Overall a solid album with one
classic track, just don't expect any speed metal or even power metal. This is more in line with Evanescence than
Helloween.
