Home Counties made a switch from grimy art punk to quirky art pop, which should be jarring on paper, but it actually goes to quite ridiculous lengths to be likeable. My weirdo-pop kids unite, here's one of the infectious friggin albums you'll hear all year. Not just that, it also shows great amounts of wit and smarts, what with the quickfire lyrics and (surprisingly) Slipknot references. Fuck me, this is good.
