Review Summary: Nightwish wishes they made this shizz

There are many reasons why this album deserves a proper review, so here you go. This album absolutely slaps dick. Those who hated Anette for replacing Tarja in Nightwish with more pop-style vocals have now been shut up, or down, depending on preference. This album is indeed great, for it is very fun. The trademark catchy Anette choruses are here, along with growls that are less trademark for her sound. The result? A catchy album. Not just catchy though, it’s also pretty. Lovely melodies! Lovely singing! See Anette’s revenge! Come witness the next gen symphonic metal event! Watch as Anette kick’s Nightwish in the face, musically speaking!

So basically it’s a good album cause it rules. I could understand if it’s not your typical genre to listen to, but if it is… you have no excuse! This is some next level shizbit up in the dizbit and to deny that is just preposterous. Other bands may have more bells and whistles (for example, Epica with their progressive metal influence, or Visions of Atlantis with a super smexy pirate theme), but who ***ing cares? If it sounds good it is good, and this stuff is ear sex (sorry for this metaphor Anette, I ran out of ideas). In other words, the powerful melodies are very overdosingly penetrating when they come inside me.

So shut up and listen to this album if you’re into catchy symphonic metal. This is exactly what the genre is, and this is easily one of the best released this year because it’s actually listenable. In that way it reminds me of my own music. As I sit on a recliner and ponder the state of music this year, I must say that 2024 needed this kind of delicately created cheese. It’s glorious yet not overbearing, and in all ways an ode to joy! What a time to be alive!

I've been avoiding it because I am not a fan of the seemingly obvious evangelical Christian vibes. With a rating like this, does the music overcome that?

Did she make another album that sounds like Nightwish more than the last 2 Nightwish records?
