First of all, for those of you who havent heard Admirals Landing, you are missing out. Admirals Landing is probably my favorite jam band (besides Phish) around these days. The instruments are so well played, and the lyrics are average for a jam band, but AL is definitely one of the best jam bands around.
Track 1: Pompano
Pompano is great. Yes, the name is weird, its a beach in Florida actually, but dont let the title fool you. The song starts off with bar chords in a sweet rhythm, then the bass kicks in with a cool line. The drums kick in next measure, and you will be dancing along, because it is just so groovy. When the chorus arrives, you immediately notice the fabolous vocals skills form Kyle and Dillon as they sing one of my most favorite lines ever..."Come on over there's a party tonight// Don't you worry every things alright// Everybody have a good ole time// Everything is gonna be alright" Theres also a nice guitar solo in the middle. This song is great, probably my favorite on the EP.

Track 2: Ruta De Maya
This is one of AL's most famous jams, and now, they decided to record it and put on a CD!. I saw this song live, it was amazing. This version is a little sketchy, but its still a great track. It provides a nice reggae feel throughout the song, and uhh, the song is around 8 minutes long, just for your information (hehehe). Its a really great song though, filled with sedated guitar solos, nice bass lines, and unforgettable vocals, this song is sure to have you singing along.

Track 3: Jam Song
AL is famous for their instrumental jams, and here is one of them. Just bass and drums in this song though, but it still will have you listening with your eyes wide open. The drums and bass start at the same time, and its a real funky jam. Filled with bass solos, you will be suprised at how good this track is, and its 5 minutes long, but its so good it'll be over before you know it!

Overall, this is a great EP, I can't wait until the fill album comes out, for this is AL's first. They will never fail you ecspecially at their shows. They are so amazing live, but thsi EP is still great. I recommend it to fans of Bob Marley, Phish, or Grateful Dead. They are just amazing!
