3.5 great | hydeyomoney | July 28th 10 | Smoke DZA's voice sounds a bit too much like Jermaine Dupri, but thats one of the few negatives of this EP-Mixtape. He's not a master lyricist, but Smoke DZA makes up for that by slipping in a very conversational, unconventional flow, making his words slither within the lush grooves. His affiliation with more charismatic rappers like Curren$y and Big K.R.I.T. boost his music too, giving us hope that DZA continues his affiliation to the majors. One of the few New Yorkers bringing a unique style nowadays.
