A bunny walks up to a bear and screams "Wanna start a band"? Unfortunately, the bear is scared by the death growl of the bunny & replies in the affirmative, resulting in this self-titled debut LP by The Bunny The Bear. Fronted by dual vocalists who wear bunny & bear masks, the Buffalo sextet play a brand of post-hardcore that relies heavily on synths & keys. In truth, there are some decent ideas & melodies scattered around, but they are buried beneath fairly poor production & a handful of horrid tracks. This was probably one of those times when a band should have begun their career with an EP instead. Recommended Tracks: Lust Touch Seed & Leaves.

All of the reviews with the 1 or 1.5s most likely haven't really listen to this in full. I mean there's some really bad songs but they have a ton of potential and some really good tracks on here.

The Bunny the Bear at its very core is an egotistical post-hardcore album filled to the brim with trite synthesizers, off-key singing, and thuggish growls which offer very little to please the listener. The band's gimmick is admittedly something else, though what fun is that when you unleash a recording incredibly premature in sound?

Well first off the bunny the bear is a cool name to me and then to add the bunny screams if
you think about it when bunnies are small what do they do, they scream and as for the bear
he has a wonderful voice. i have never seen them live so cant speak for that part. but this
album is really cool. i think the people who rate it so low are scared to admit they like
it. with that said they are not by far the best but they are a cool band with cool music
hard to say that about a lot of bands out there.

There's a balance of discord and harmony on this album that works, plus the harsh vocals are better on this one than "If You Don't Have Anything Nice To Say".

TBTB have tons of potential there drummer is not that good if they add more harsh vocals and switch out there drummer they can BE BIG!
