an entry-level kind of zeuhl - still got the heavy bass and mesmerizing keyboard lines but a little traditional rock spills in. the lone female voice feels somehow insufficient. i'm not saying the singing is *bad* but rather that she deserved to be multitracked. the weakness of the album is that many moments which deserve a melody go without, some remaining bare, others "treating" you to hairy psychedelic guitar solos. i know zeuhl is naturally spiky and chromatic, but the guitar player during these moments is almost strictly innocent of performing in the music's actual key
