Atlantis are a relatively new band from Leicester, and have been working hard playing as many shows as they can in their short time as a band. This album is their debut release, and shows a lot of potential in their ambient post-hardcore style.

The record has some really great tracks brought together by some beautiful instrumental interludes. The ethereal quality of the guitar sound and Alex Jones’s stellar clean vocals show an obvious influence from Devil Sold His Soul, but the choruses and screamed sections dismiss any claims of being a rip-off. And those choruses are HUGE, especially on “This Kingdom”. Closer “Until The End” has a chorus that could easily be a great singalong at a live show, and for a young band this is some really solid songwriting. The choruses and songwriting are really strong and I hope to see some expansion on that when they next hit the studio. There's a lot of potential here.

The album is a free release and is available at their bandcamp; http://weareatlantis.bandcamp.com/

Atlantis are playing Havering Rock Festival in London with Hadouken! on the 27th of August.
