Gustavo Adrían Cerati (August 11, 1959 -- Sept. 4, 2014) was an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer and producer, considered one of the most influencial and renowed Ibero-American musicians and a legend of latin-american rock. He became known as the vocalist, guitarist and main composer of the rock band Soda Stereo -- a band also renowed as one of the most important bands in latin-american music -- and later as a solo artist.
During his life, he experimented with different genres, including electronic, symphonic music, shoegaze, indie rock, and folk.

In May 15, 2010 during a concert in Caracas, Venezuela, he suffered an ischemic stroke, which left him in a coma for 4 years until his death in 2014 from respiratory arrest. His death caused commotion amongst all Latin America, and since then, several artists have payed tribute to his legacy.
He will be remembered. R.I.P.
