Sandii and The Sunsetz was a Japanese new wave band that first formed in 1980. Formed by the majority of the members from Makoto Kubota and the Sunset Gang, the group was first known as The Sunsetz, before changing their name to Sandii and the Sunsetz in 1982 to focus on the new main vocalist Sandii. The group had decent popularity within their home country, and some of their singles and albums were even released overseas in Europe, Australia and the US. After releasing a dozen singles and albums, Sandii and the Sunsetz ended up officially disbanding in 1991, although they have since had various reunions.
