Canadian incredibly-influential-on-Avril-Lavigne-punk/emo 5-piece. Grade released 4 LPs and a slew of EPs in the late 90s and early 00s. Grade's style was that
of a less chaotic, and much catchier emotional hardcore that allowed bands like Thrice and Taking Back Sunday to exist. They were signed to Victory and
essentially defined the style that they're juicing money out of these days. The Grade bassist, Charles, is famous for ditching the band to date and play bass
for Avril Lavigne. Other members have gone on to play for the bands Somehow Hollow (Brad, Mike, and Kent) and The Black Maria (Kyle Bishop).
