Addis Black Widow, often abbreviated as ABW, is a Swedish R&B band that first formed in 1987. Originally starting as an
alternative hip hop group, the group’s tension with their label, Breakin’ Bread, led to Addis Black Widow going on a hiatus in
1996, and the members then formed Bus 75, which disintegrated in 1999, and Addis Black Widow then returned in 2000. When
Addis Black Widow’s sounds changed drastically, as it included elements of dance pop, soul and avant-garde, before transitioning

into being a full time R&B act by 2002. Although Addis Black Widow is primarily based in Sweden, it also notably has connections
to the US and Ethiopia. Since 2007, Addis Black Widow has essentially been the solo project of artist Pigeon, when the second
