Aero

To label Aero as a Modern Rock band simply falls short. To label Aero as a Modern Rock band simply falls short. While the Boston-based foursome’s self-produced debut album “Chaos” features powerhouse rock anthems like “Tongue Tied” and “Hate Me”, the scope of this band simply can’t be pinpointed by the usual conventions. Their sound is undeniably rock and yet so much more, drawing from a diverse spectrum of influences and experiences, culminating in a unique and captivating sound. Rooted in inventive, energetic riffs, a lockstep rhythm section and inescapably catchy melodies, the band’s high energy approach comes with just the right amount of subtlety and restraint. Songs like “Spiral Eyes” and “Sky Lights” call to mind wide open spaces, sunlight, and sky, while others like “The Aquatic” and the more ambitious “Alien”, invoke the feel of being underwater or in space. The radio-ready “Paradigm Shift” melds all of these components together to create one of their best works to date, a melodic, serene foray into alternative rock about the battle that happens within someone faced with a difficult decision. All of these elements serve to move in synchrony with powerful lyrics, ranging from deeply personal poetic introspection, to critiques of society and ominous warnings about the state of the world. Their songs beg the listener to be mindful that their time is limited, to enjoy the present moment and be good to one another. Armed with this message Aero has ambitions, on the strength of their music and live shows, to move throughout the Northeast and eventually, the country. When all is said and done, Aero just might become one of those bands that is a brand unique to itself, often imitated, but never duplicated. This band is destined to make you think, feel, move, sing, smile, and above all, come back for more. « hide
