Akris are a US-based sludge/stoner metal act from Alexandria, Virginia formed in 2009 as a guitar-less duo with Helena Goldberg on bass and vocals and Sam Lohman on drums. For their 2015 EP "Fall" and subsequent second album "Your Mantis" the band would recruit Paul Cogle on guitar, while Tim Otis replaced Lohman on drums.
