an all time high when she released her single, "Happy Wake Up!", in October of 1994. Produced by J-pop giant Tetsuya Komuro,
the single went platinum, and wound up becoming the 96th best selling single of the year. However, her sales quickly declined,
and she eventually put a hold on singing in 2003 to focus on her acting career. However, she eventually returned in 2008 with
the "Engaged" single, with lackluster sales, and it was followed up with her album "SpeciAlisa", which was her first album release
in over a decade. The sales were also lackluster, and she has yet to release another single or album. Nonetheless, she remains
one of the most well known and remembered Japanese pop idols from the 1990's. « hide |
