Art in Exile was a gothic metal band from Australia that first formed in 2002. The group released one EP in 2006 and one full album in 2009, "Aeon Somnia", which had strong reviews and was acclaimed for its unique sound that had a progressive-industrial edge. After struggling to find a following, Art of Exile ended up disbanding in 2012, with frontwoman Mel Bulian going on to join In the Burial as a vocalist.
