emerged as a unique force within Vancouver’s thriving metal scene. Astrakhan’s music is meticulously composed while
maintaining the grit and ferocity that has come to define their live performances. No chord is redundant, no riff is repetitive,
no progression is without purpose. Dual lead guitars are both technically precise and ruthlessly heavy, while groove-laden
bass parts are backed by thunderous drums. The contrasting styles of their two-headed vocal attack serve as a definitive
element of their sound. The urgency behind their music is palpable. The quality of the final product is undeniable.
Less than a year removed from their debut show, Astrakhan has shared the stage with Vancouver heavyweights Anciients,
Baptists, Tobeatic and Black Wizard and established touring acts such as Witch Mountain, Holy Grail, Helms Alee and Barn
Burner. They’ve built a loyal following based on nothing other than the quality of their craft and the intensity of their live
