Ayaka is a Japanese pop/pop rock artist that made her major debut in 2006. She went on a hiatus in 2009 from Graves disease,
but made a comeback in 2011. Needless to say, her hiatus didn't affect her sales at all, as her comeback album ("The
Beginning", released in February 2012), went on to become a platinum record. Ayaka is currently one of the hottest selling
Japanese artists, and is one of the most successful Japanese female solo pop artists out.
