Babamania are a Japanese alternative rock band that formed in 1992. They are known for their unique mixture of mellow
alternative and various rap bits thrown in by dual vocalists Genki and Mari. To overseas listeners, they are probably also best
known for their song "Wanna Rock", which wasfeatured in the video game FIFA Football 2004, along with other well known
bands, such as Radiohead, Lostprophets and The Stone Roses. In 2006,the group seemed to have entered a hiatus, but in
2011, the group returned as a touring act. Nonetheless, Babamania still have not released any original material since 2006's
"Zero Gravity Disco".
