Black Renaissance was the musical project of Harry Whitaker. It featured Woody Shaw, Azar Lawrence, Buster Williams, Billy Hart and Mtume amongst others.

studio to record Black Renaissance: Body, Mind & Spirit, a tone poem reflecting on the state of African American music in the 1970s.
