Born and raised in New Hampshire, Brendan’s inspiration stems from the rich and time-honored singer/songwriter traditions of New England. However, unlike his predecessors, Brendan has fused these traditional sensibilities with the experiences of his own generation, resulting in a sound that is overwhelmingly unique and original, yet resonates with the soulful simplicity of the past.
He graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in the spring of 2006. He released his debut album, The Day is Brave, through the major record label Universal/Decca Records on June 3rd, 2008.
His song entitled “Hero’s Song” appeared on the Body of War: Songs that Inspired an Iraq War Veteran soundtrack.
