Moving from a high school hobby to a full-time concern in 2002, Calico System are relative newbies on the hardcore scene, only releasing their debut album in 2004. But they have friends in high places, eith Colin Frangietto (of Circa survive) helping the band on the ladder to the prestigious Eulogy Records. The band has earned a reputation as creastive users of publicity. Among others things, their singer was apparently attacked by a baby bear during a boring truck stop at Mount Rushmore. Whatever gets your name heard boys!
They sound like an emotionally charged melodic hardcore bomb. They also incorporate a brutal metal stomp, which gives the music an acessible edge. Agreesion is the order of the day, and we want seconds! « hide |
