Boy hood friends Colin McFaull, Mick Beaufoy, Steve "Burge" Burgess, and Steve Bruce formed the band Cock Sparrer in Londonās east end. Playing music about the working class they helped develop a genre now know as OI!
In 1977 they release there first single entitled "Running Riot" on Decca records. Running Riot and there follow up singles sold poorly and a year later they were dropped from the label. In 1983 they signed on to Carrere Records and recorded there first full length album, "Shock Troops". Since then the band has recorded "Runnin' Riot in '84". Until 1992 the band fell of the map. in that year they recorded "Guilty as Charged".
to this day Cock Sparrer tours sparingly, but have not recorded since '92. « hide
