Devastation was a short-lived thrash/death metal band from Chicago, Illinois (not to be mistaken for the other extreme thrash Devastation from Corpus Christi, Texas). Though only active in 1986-87, they produced three cassettes (the last of which never officially released) and gained some notoriety in the American extreme metal underground. Their material has been compiled and re-released several times throughout the 2000s.
