Dope HEADz

Dope HEADz were a Japanese hard rock band that formed in 1999. It was originally formed as a tribute to deceased visual kei icon, hide, and was originally a trio of X Japan guitarist Pata and bassist Heath, as well as hide's DJ I.N.A. The name itself was a reference to hide's own label, LEMONed. However, Dope HEADz turned into a full band when they recruited frontman Jo:ya in 2001. Unfortunately, Jo:ya left the group by the end of the year, and he was then replaced by ex-Ravecraft vocalist Shame. However, with Shame as the frontman, the group faced much less commercial success, and Dope HEADz ended up disbanding in 2003.
