Fred Cornog uses East River Pipe as his recording name for this lo-fi, indie pop project started in the late 1980's. When alcoholism steers him
homeless, Cornog busks around New York City to live and falls in love with Barbara Powers. She gives him the strength to release his home recordings
under the name East River Pipe.His debut self-titled album was released in 1989.
