nowhere arose FAUS. In other words, in the summer of 2005, some restless kids in a small town run by a concoction of
rednecks, meth addicts and retirees chose to be original and start a band. Years later, their sarcasm would sculpt itself into a
political heavy-tech-punk band consisting of Ezra Christopher (percussionist extraordinaire), Mike Angelini (strings among
other things), Anthony Perez (competent bass player), and Alex Chaffin (the voice). In 2010, after a number of EPs that were
deemed by their unyieldingly small audience “too short” and not “containing enough break downs”, they released their first
full-length album entitled, “The Deadbeat Verbatus”. The album was written about God-like phenomena called the Deadbeats,
who are a certain type of people who have a certain understanding of the world. In a language more than words, the
Deadbeat spoke, and the movement began. With song names like “Magnoramoq” and “Sputbethaven”, the album was solid as
the bands’ first and captured the panoply of outside-the-box originality and vehement intensity FAUS displayed with the
thought that they put into their music and their always well received, and often pugnacious, live performance.
Since “The Deadbeat Verbatus” they have toured the west cost down to southern California and back up through Nevada and
Utah, which can only be described as a delirium of desert drives. They have shared the stage with bands such as letlive, The
Chariot, Iwrestledabearounce, Vanna, and The Kingsford Run, ingested poison in order to make a puking photo shoot look
authentic, and, more recently, have been prepping for the release of their most recent album entitled “Technical Jargon &
Partisan Rhetoric”. The newest album is a full-fledged bazooka-fest against American pop-culture and political megalomania.
FAUS aspires to build upon this foundation of unity and freedom against all who seek to preserve the rotting and dysgenic
system of inequality and wage slavery. This is a celebration. Deadbeats and seekers of freedom alike: welcome to the fucking
show. « hide |
