Freeway and Jake One find themselves caught in-between mainstream and indie hip-hop. Philly's Freeway is probably best known for his guest appearances on Jay-Z and Kanye records, but he also sold half a million copies of his major-label solo debut. Likewise, hip hop fans may think of Jake One primarily for his producing chops, having worked with De La Soul and 50 Cent. Mutual respect made the album work, with Freeway declaring at the beginning of the record that he's going to make lots of room for Jake One's beat.
