G-Gnome started out as an activist movement against Communist China. Originally calling themselves "Chinese Democracy", they were threatened to be sued by Guns 'n Roses over the name. A court decided in favour of G-Gnome, but in the interim the boys had changed their name so they could continue to tour and to stop contact with Axl.
Nowadays a gay icon in China, G-Gnome is a Big Band conisisting of many varied instruments including guitars, cellos, sitars, recorders, banjos, and one guy running around spewing into a mic.
